La Vineria

Sometimes all you need to have an inexpensive functional business model is taking a drastic decision: just stick to the essential. Vineria used to sell bulk wine and oil. That was it. If you think about it, you don’t need much more than a good glass of wine to enjoy a good night. Even better if you can share it with someone else, but it’s ok to drink it alone, too – because good wine is also a good friend. Anyway, the idea to sell bulk wine in Milan city center could only come from a Tuscan mind: Aaron Brussolo was used to bring some carboys whenever he came back to his second home. At some point, he decided to profit from this toil and offer the same service to his whole neighborhood. His Tuscan taste can be seen in the selection of wine and oil, and if you’re used to the standard Milanese prices you will find Vineria’s quite incredible.

Today our little Vineria has a twin brother: after the first shop in Via Casale, Aaron opened another one, more or less of the same size, on the other side of the city, in Via Vittorio Veneto. The best time to go to Vineria is actually any time at all, but we feel like – now spring is approaching – a nice long aperitivo is likely to turn in a sparkly night.
