(According to articles 46 – 47 – 76 of D.P.R. 445/00 as well as article 5, paragraph g of the City Council Tourist Tax Reg.)

By signing and with reference to the information above, he/she declares IS STAYING AT THE HOSTEL Ostello Bello




The undersigned makes the above declaration being fully aware that Italian law contemplates legal sanctions for false and misleading statements (D.P.R. 445/2000), including subsequent amendments, and is delivered to the Management of the facility.

Terms & Conditions

We want your stay to be a safe and pleasant experience, so if you’re planning to stay at Ostello Bello, please read our Terms & Conditions.

  1. Arrivals and Departures
    Check-in is from 2 pm, but our reception is open 24/7, so even if you arrive in the early morning you’ll be more than welcome to chill in the common areas, have some breakfast, use all of our facilities or just store your luggage and stroll around town while you wait for your room to be ready.
    Check-out is by 11.30 am, so we will need you to take all your belongings out of the room by that time. If you’re not planning to leave in the morning we can store your luggage for free all day long. 
    You can ask for a late check out (1 pm) for an additional price of 5€ – please arrange this in advance with our reception. 
    Our guests can stay with us for a maximum of 2 weeks at one time.
  2. Identification
    Make sure to bring valid identification with you, preferably a passport, government-issued I.D. card, or your driving license (only for our Italian guests). If you forget your documents, we won’t be able to check you in.
  3. Age Restrictions
    If you’re under 18 we will accept your booking only if you’ll attach and bring with you a signed Authorization of one of your parents or a person who acts in their stand. Guests who wish to bring their children under 10 years of age must book a whole dorm or private room.
  4. Room allocation
    If you’re travelling with friends or family, we’ll do our utmost to book you in a room together – but this can’t always be guaranteed. If you want to make sure that you aren’t separated from your group, we’d suggest booking a private room or taking over a whole dorm.
  5. Payment
    Please be aware that we only accept Mastercard, Visa and Diners Club for our bookings. If you have a standard rate or a walk-in reservation and you wish to pay by cash, please note that we only accept € currency.
  6. Cancellation Policy
    Flexible Rate: If you cancel or amend your reservation up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival date by 2 pm, you won’t get charged. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

    Non-Refundable Rate: The total amount of the reservation may be charged any time after booking. If cancelled, modified, or in case of a no-show, you won’t be able to get a refund.

    If the total value of a single booking is greater than or equal to €600, a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the value will be required to confirm your booking regardless of the rate type selected.

    If you arrive a day late without informing us, we will do our best to welcome you, but this may not be in the same room type you booked, thus it may incur extra charges.
  7. Group reservations:
    Please note that we will need to receive a list containing the required details of each group member at least 2 weeks before your arrival date. Important details include first name, last name, date of birth, nationality, document number, issue and expiration date. This information is absolutely necessary in order to ensure that the hostel is complying with local tourist formalities, it will also make your check-in faster and easier.
    Reservation: You will be asked to pay 10% of the total amount upon reservation, 40% within one month prior to arrival and the final balance within 2 weeks prior to arrival.
    Cancellation Policies:  In order to cancel your reservation you must contact us by email and wait for our response. If you cancel 30 days prior to your arrival, we will charge 10% of the total amount of your booking. If you proceed with the cancellation between 29 and 14 days prior to your arrival, we will charge 50% of the total amount of the booking. You may make changes to a Group Booking up to 45 days prior to your arrival date without additional charges. Ostello Bello will endeavour to accommodate all requested changes to a group booking whether this will be in the numbers of participants or the room allocation, but please note that every change or partial cancellations to Group Bookings will be subject to availability.
  8. Receipts and Invoices
    If you’re an Italian guest/group and need an invoice, you must request it at the time of your reservation. For every other guest: upon request, we can provide receipts for proof of payment of your stay.
  9. City Tax
    Prices published online include Italian VAT but do not include the City Tax, which varies depending on the municipality. You will be asked to pay this tax at check-in.
  10. Discretion
    All bookings are subject to availability and Ostello Bello reserve the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
  11. Room Key Cards
    When you check in you’ll be given a key card. Please note that you will be charged a 5€ penalty if you will not return it at check-out.
  12. Damage to Ostello Bello’s Property
    Guests will be expected to reimburse Ostello Bello for any damage caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay.
  13. Guest Behaviour
    First and foremost, Ostello Bello won’t allow any racist, misogynist, transphobic, homophobic or violent attitude. We live under the same roof and everyone should feel safe, respected and loved for who they are. Guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff, local residents and property. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not be given a refund.
  14. Personal Property
    It is a guest’s responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are secure at all times. Upon request, we will provide you with a padlock to store your values in the personal locker you’ll find in the dorms. Ostello Bello accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to guests’ property, however, sustained or caused.
  15. No Smoking
    Smoking is only allowed in the outside areas (terraces/gardens) but we strongly suggest you ask the people around you if the smoke could bother them. It’s a matter of kindness and respect. Any guest found smoking inside the building, outside of the designated areas, will be fined (€50).
  16. No Drugs
    Drug use is illegal in Italy and Myanmar. Any guest found using drugs within any of our properties will be fined (€250) and asked to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued.
  17. Alcohol consumption
    We will not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. At our staff discretion, we can choose to stop serving you alcohol if we realize it’s time for you to stop drinking.
  18. Personal food and beverage management
    You can bring your own food and beverage to the hostel, but make sure you store it tidily in our kitchen. We kindly ask you to put a label on your food, with your name and check-out date on it. You won’t be allowed to bring any of your food/beverages inside the dorms. Every time you use our kitchen equipment, you’ll be asked to leave it exactly as you found it, so please make sure you’ll wash all the dishes, glasses, pans you use and leave the table, stove and microwave clean. Last but not least, use our recycling bins properly.
  19. Pets
    Your pet will be very welcome to stay with you if you book a private room. Pets are not allowed in dorms. If you have a guide dog please contact us.
  20. Force Majeure
    In the event of Force Majeure (governmental action, transportation interruption, terrorist attack, pandemics, alien invasion…) affecting your booking, Ostello Bello is unable to refund customers and we reserve the right to receive any outstanding payments in connection to your confirmed booking.

Privacy Policy

The European Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (Reg. No. 679/2016 – GDPR) aims to ensure that the processing of data is carried out in compliance with the rights, fundamental freedoms, and dignity of individuals. The GDPR establishes that the interested party or the person from whom the data is collected receive a set of information about the purposes and methods of their treatment. Under the GDPR, Ostello Bello Como S.r.l. is the data controller of your personal data acquired by filling in the necessary documentation for the check-in procedure. The Data Controller ensures that your data entered in the attached form will be collected and processed according to the indications of the GDPR, as well as kept by the Data Controller for the time strictly necessary to the execution of the requested hôtellerie service*.
