Bartender in Finale Ligure

Ostello Bello is looking for a bartender to work within the Finale Ligure location on a full-time or part-time contract basis. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

The main responsibilities of the candidate will be:

  • Welcoming and assisting bar guests according to Ostello Bello standards and preparing cocktails and coffee;
  • Cashier management;
  • Management of common areas and stock control in synergy with the bar manager;

Shifts range indicatively from 5pm to 1am.

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of basic experience in coffee and cocktail preparation (background from the hospitality sector, particularly the hostel world, is a plus);
  • Energy and motivation to work in the industry;
  • Innate aptitude for hospitality and desire to create unique experiences for our guests;
  • Excellent predisposition to teamwork;
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English language.

Hours: part-time

Bartender/Head of Bar in Palermo

Ostello Bello is looking for a bartender/Head of Bar to join the Palermo location, scheduled to open in March 2024, with a full-time or part-time contract.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

The main responsibilities of the candidate will be:

Bartender

  • Welcoming and assisting bar guests according to Ostello Bello standards and preparing cocktails and coffee;
  • Cash management;
  • Management of common areas and warehouse control in synergy with the bar manager;

Head of Bar

  • Welcoming bar guests according to Ostello Bello standards and preparing cocktails and coffee;
  • Management and training of own staff, shift planning, vacations, etc., and identification of professional growth objectives;
  • Management of orders, supplies, and warehouse in synergy with the F&B manager;
  • Achievement of facility objectives in synergy with the hostel manager;
  • Collaboration with the reception manager of the same facility and other managerial figures for coordination of objectives;
  • Basic economic management and accounting activities.

The ideal candidate possesses the following requirements:

Bartender

  • 1 or 2 years of basic experience in coffee and cocktail preparation (experience in the hospitality sector, especially in the hostel world, is a plus);

  • Energy and motivation to work in the industry;
  • Empathy and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English, additional languages are a plus;
  • Computer skills to manage Excel sheets for reporting.

Work shifts are typically from 5 pm to 1 am.

Receptionist/Head of Reception in Palermo

Ostello Bello is looking for a Receptionist/Reception Manager to join the Palermo location, scheduled to open in March 2024, with a full-time or part-time contract.

The main responsibilities of the candidate will be:

Receptionist:

  • Guest welcoming and check-in/check-out procedures and luggage storage;
  • Reservation management and updating on the company software;
  • Customer care and guest assistance through emails and phone calls;
  • Room checks and quality control of common areas;
  • Support to the bar when necessary.

Head of Reception:

  • Achievement of both economic and customer care objectives for the facility;
  • Daily care and management of the reception and hostel spaces;
  • Management and training of own staff, shift planning, vacations, etc., and identification of professional growth objectives;
  • Collaboration with the bar manager of the same facility and other managerial figures for coordination of objectives;
  • Basic economic management and accounting activities.

Work shifts are from Monday to Sunday, from 8 am to 4 pm and from 4 pm to 12 am.

Operation Coordinator

We are looking for an Operation Coordinator to join the central office in Milan. The role, reporting to the Head of Operations, will help reorganize and clarify production processes, ensuring that structural managers adhere to procedures.
Objectives:
  • Improve Customer Care both online and offline in all facilities
  • Increase response/problem-solving speed through coordination with other offices
  • Optimize and streamline operations across all facilities
  • Improve reviews
Duties:
  • Supervise email inboxes (info and booking)
  • Supervise WhatsApp accounts
  • Supervise Instagram accounts
  • Supervise Goki accounts (shoutout, activities, feedback)
  • Supervise Mews messaging
  • Manage and control AI for automated responses
  • Manage the telephone switchboard
  • Supervise and control mobile calls through mobile analytics
  • Manage and own the unique WhatsApp number for complaints
  • Own the review platform
  • Distribute tasks derived from reviews among various offices
  • Send weekly reports to the review manager
  • Create monthly reports based on recent examples
  • Respond privately to reviews
  • Provide customer care training (together with the operations manager) to hostel teams and new staff members
  • Analyze and supervise staff hours in facilities
  • Supervise and implement Activities and Tours in facilities
  • Continuously support and interact with facilities on:
    • Managing complaints, grievances, and guest feedback
    • Maintaining the functionality and order of common areas using internal tools
    • Day-to-day front office operations
    • Consolidating, coordinating, and analyzing activities and tours
    • Front office operational tools (Mews, Slack, etc.)
  • Supervise and analyze reports from structural managers
  • Participate with the operations team in optimizing and streamlining management and control reporting for facilities
  • Participate with the operations team in optimizing operations at two levels: front office operations and managerial operations
  • Implement new operational procedures and organize and consolidate existing ones:
    • Mews PMS procedures
    • Online and offline customer service procedures
    • Activity and Tour management procedures
    • Vertical and horizontal internal communication procedures
    • Administrative procedures (tourist tax, Istat, etc.)
  • Constant analysis of facilities in terms of functionality, order, and cleanliness standards
  • Support the training of new operational staff members
  • Control facility operational budgets
KPIs:
  • Random checks on customer care quality
  • Number of reviews removed/modified
  • Measure the increase in answered calls
  • Improvement in reviews
  • Facility operational KPIs (staff and service efficiency)
